Hi, I’m Enza Stagnini,
I live in Milan, I’m Sicilian, I’m an architect – and I work with tango… or rather, tango works with me.
More precisely, tango occupied me in 1997.
Long before that, architecture had already occupied me.
Maybe that’s why I’m obsessed with places, books, and history – who knows.
What I do know is this: architecture is my first passion, and tango is my first passion.
(I know, I said “first” twice – but that’s how it is.)
I look for tango in every embrace, in every mirada, in every tanda. But also in books, and in the arts.
I love to travel, to dance, and to study – and I’ll never stop studying tango, because I’ll never stop dancing tango.
I’m a happy milonguera: I dance a lot, and I study with a great teacher – Osvaldo Roldán – the same great teacher I chose for Luoghi di Tango.
I also organise encuentros, study trips, events, and I love sharing my passions with my guests.
We – tango, my guests and I – dance a lot. A lot.
Mirada, cabeceo, abrazo, ronda – all on the dance floor!
But it’s not just dancing: there are concerts, videos, recitals, talks, photo exhibitions, history labs, classes, good food and beautiful landscapes…
I carefully choose the places – a castle, a bar, an island – where I love to host people with the joy of connection, of smiling, of embracing, and to share beauty, quality, simplicity – and plenty of proper milonguero tango.
I carefully choose the musicalizadores and the artists. I carefully choose the teachers.
I lovingly choose the details: the candelabras on the buffet, the fans on the tables, the photos, the vinyls, the colours, the scent of fresh flowers, and the posters.
I love my job…
If you’d like to know more, keep exploring these pages: this site tells the story of what I do… but not everything can be seen – Luoghi di Tango needs to be experienced.
