Let's practice and study the culture of Tango together
exploring the most beautiful places of History and Landscape

In 2009, a group of friends – already on the scene for over a decade and hopelessly bewitched by Tango – set out on this adventure.

We chose a name: Luoghi di Tango (Places of Tango).
Tango came to us – it found us, it won us over – and to us, every corner of the world it touched became a Place. We want to add our own Places to this universe: we bring Tango into our places, just as it brought us into its own.

…And we chose a logo: a suitcase and a pair of shoes.
We wanted to evoke Tango’s story – its past (a tale of emigration, of European returns, of ocean crossings; it travelled to reach us, and we travelled to reach it), its present (it keeps spreading across the globe and we follow it, with our shoes packed in a suitcase), and its future.

Our shared future.

Since then, we’ve brought Tango to the places we’re most fond of—art cities and Mediterranean islands – or we’ve chosen new spaces to ‘found’ together: something intangible calls to us, makes itself known, like a kind of passport allowing both us and Tango to feel welcome.

And so the story goes on. Our story, together, for many years now.

Our projects?
Take a look – if you like what we do, we’re bound to cross paths!

*Luoghi di Tango has been legally based in Milan since 2009, but operates throughout Italy. Its main goal is to support and spread Tango as a social dance: over time, it has become a cross-cultural tool that brings people together in a single embrace – people of all ages, with different life stories and cultural, social, and geographical backgrounds, often far apart.

To pursue this goal, Luoghi di Tango entrusts each area of activity to highly qualified professionals – both Italian and Argentine – to ensure a high-quality outcome, as it believes is due to “an Intangible Cultural Heritage” (recognized by UNESCO since 2009), a living testimony to values that are more relevant than ever: hospitality as a foundation, diversity as a strength, and cultural exchange as enrichment.

About Tango, UNESCO says: “It embodies both cultural diversity and dialogue. It represents the essence of a community and therefore deserves to be safeguarded.”
