Another Encuentro Milonguero in one of the most beautiful historic centers in the world

What about Florence without being repetitive? Perhaps that Florence was built on the site of an Etruscan settlement and and the later ancient Roman colony of Florentia (founded in 59 BC).
Beyond that, the world knows that Florence is the symbol of Rinascimento.

Its historic centre (UNESCO-heritage, 1982) in the city walls, “…can be perceived as a unique social and urban achievement, the result of persistent and long-lasting creativity, … the fruit of continuous creation over more than six centuries. In addition to its museums (the Archaeological Museum, Uffizi, Bargello, Pitti, Galleria dell’Accademia), the greatest concentration of universally renowned works of art in the world is found here – the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery and the Campanile of Giotto, Piazza della Signoria dominated by Palazzo Vecchio and the Palazzo Uffizi, San Lorenzo, Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce and the Pazzi chapel, Santo Spirito, San Miniato, and the Convent of San Marco which houses paintings of Fra Angelico. 

Since the Quattrocento, Florence has exerted a predominant influence on the development of architecture and the monumental arts – first in Italy, and throughout Europe: the artistic principles of the Renaissance were defined there from the beginning of the 15th century by Brunelleschi, Donatello and Masaccio. It was in the Florentine milieu that two universal geniuses of the arts – Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo – were formed and asserted.”

The Event

Our tradition is going on: another encuentro location in an historic center, and this time of the first magnitude: Florence!

Encuentro

Overlook the hotel garden, in the Sala Michelangelo will take place all milongas (5 Milongas, music 23h30’. Encuentro Pass Baile: 4 milongas + 1 after party that in this first edition the organization is pleased to offer it to the guest of the event). The timing allows to dedicate ourselves to Tango and to visit the place and its surrounding areas.

Bar.

A dedicated American (pay-as-you-go) serves wines and prosecco, beer, soft drink, tea, coffee and herbal teas, and also shortbread, ring-shaped cake, savory pies and croissant ready to be stuffed, for your consummations by the glass and your snacks.

Food.

Extra ‘Pass Baile’, our program has also the convivial break to catch our breath till the end of the milonga of the evening. Or a light lunch before tardecita. Always with your friends, but this time gathered around a good table and with a good glass! It’s not mandatory reserve dinners and lunch to partecipate in Trasnochando.

If you’ll choose to share the good table with all of us, dinners and lunches are booking directly by the encuentro registration form, where you can choose all you are interesting like extra ‘Pass Baile’.

For people loving to feel more comfortable –extra Pass Baile- we propose the stay at the venue of the encuentro. An elegant 4-star hotel between Cathedral Square (1 km) and the Santa Maria Novella central station (7’ by foot), Albani Hotel will accommodate our nights and breakfast (hotel packs) with very tiered prices despite the high level of the offer and of the facility.  

If you’ll choose to stay at Albani Hotel , you can book your stay directly by the encuentro registration form where you can choose the date you are interesting (hotel packs, extra ‘Pass Baile’). It’s not mandatory to stay at Albany Hotel.
